Selecting The right product for Warehouse Lighting

Each situation requires the right lighting while investing the smallest amount of money. If your facility is only for storage of big parts or pallets it will require less lighting than if houses a detailed assembly line. Another factor when replacing fixtures is the positioning, what is the ceiling height and how much distance you have between the existing fixtures. You should try to install the new High Bay Led Lights close to the same location to reduce installation costs.

When deciding which is the right LED High Bay Light for your place, we suggest spending some time talking to an expert. Our lighting consultants are experienced, they will ask you some questions and sometimes for some photos of your place to learn your requirements and then suggest the best options as there are a variety of types, wattages, lumens, shapes and beam angles. Buying a cheap product or the wrong LED warehouse lighting may result in a waste of money that will not cover the expectations.

UFO Lights Vs Linear LED High Bays

Round UFO Lamps are the easiest to install as these only require one hanging point. The beam shape is a cone with a 120° angle. The lens is clear, thus looking directly at them is dazzling. If the ceilings are over 15 feet and people have no need to look up, UFO Lights are a good choice for your warehouse lighting.

If your warehouse has racks with small parts and people needs to look up to find them, LED linear High bays are better. These are rectangular, starting 1Ft wide by 2 Ft long up to 2Ft wide by 4Ft long. Usually are equipped with a frosted lens and produce a beam angle that accompanies the shape of the isles better than UFO lights. Since the lens is frosted, produces a softer light and is better for this kind of warehouse light distribution. Check this examples for High Bay LED Lights.

Installing LED High Bay Lights

LED High Bay Lights operate on 110, 220, 277 and up to 480VAC. Most of the UFO lamps and Linear LED High Bays that we sell can operate between 110 and 277VAC or 200-480VAC. Make sure to order the High Bay LED Lights that operate within the voltage that will be supplied. If unsure, your electrician must check the voltage supplied before ordering.

If you are replacing existing Metal Halide High Bay Lights, take down the existing fixture and install the High Bay LED lights using the same junction box.

LED High Bay Lights are the best choice for commercial and industrial warehouse lighting.

Adding Motion Sensor, also called Occupancy Sensor to your LED High Bay Lights

When the areas to illuminate in your warehouse are occupied less than 50% of the time it may be convenient to add an occupancy sensor to obtain better savings and longer LED High Bay Light life.

Adding a motion sensor is easy when you buy our motion sensor-ready UFO lamps. Remove the cap and push and twist the occupancy sensor. The UFO lights will remain at 10% of the power for as long as there is no motion detection. When the area is occupied, the UFO lamp will go to full power and keep it that way for as long as there is a presence underneath the detection area.
