Mogul to medium base adapter converter. Works 3-way

I had an old "Barley Twist" floor lamp with a mogul base for a 3-way incandescent bulb. Because these burn so hot, and I had increasing difficulty finding them, I resolved to switch to a 3-way LED bulb if at all possible. I went to a local hardware store and, on the advice of an employee, bought a mogul adapter for the medium (regular) socket size, being told that the 3-way feature was "in the switch". I bought a 3-way LED bulb at the same time. On returning home, I screwed in the adapter, and then the LED bulb, and tried the switch. I got ONE intensity out of the 3-way LED, so promptly returned the adapter and went back to an online search. Finding LEDRadiant, I phoned, and spoke with "Eddy", a most pleasant fellow, and ordered the adapter in question. Because we currently have a postal strike here in Canada, I spent many times the value of the adapter to have it shipped...but I was DETERMINED! I received the shipment about two weeks later, and decided to try it at once. I screwed the adapter to the bulb, then screwed the combo into the lamp's mogul base, operated the lamp's 3-way switch, and voilà... got the three light intensities from the LED bulb!

It was an elegant solution to the problem. The product contains no electronics. It is simply a double-walled cylindrical copper tube (actually one cylinder that is folded back onto itself, so open at one end, which faces up finally) with mogul threads on the outside and medium (standard) threads on the inside. The open inner end screws up onto the medium bulb, and the closed outer end screws down into the mogul socket. I had to make no alterations in my situation. I was a very happy camper! This product should be available in Canada!
